A Workshop entitled “LIFE Projects of Abruzzo” will be held in presence in Pescara (Sala Europa of Aurum Convention Center – Largo Gardone Riviera, 65129) on Friday, March 10, 2023 (from 09.30 to 13.00).

The event is organized by the LIFE National Contact Point Team of Italy (operating under the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security – MASE) in collaboration with Abruzzo in Europa (a nonprofit association established by the Regional Council of Abruzzo pursuant to Regional Law No. 27 of August 24, 2018), UEAM (Europe Metropolitan Area Office Pescara-Spoltore-Montesilvano) and the City of Pescara.

It will also be possible to follow the Workshop via live streaming on Zoom Platform and on the Facebook page of the Abruzzo in Europe Association.

The Workshop aims to:

to present the opportunities provided by LIFE 2021-2027, the EU funding instrument for Environment and Climate Action, and in particular the possibilities that the Program offers for supporting the implementation, also in Abruzzo land, of projects with “European added value” included in the different priority areas of intervention of the 4 LIFE Subprograms (“Nature and Biodiversity,” “Circular Economy and Quality of Life,” “Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation,” and “Transition to Clean Energy”)
illustrate the positive experiences of 6 LIFE projects implemented or being implemented in the Abruzzo region and aimed at testing, demonstrating or applying best practices and innovative and sustainable solutions to address established or emerging environmental and climate challenges (LIFE SAFE CROSSING, LIFE DELFI, LIFE BITMAPS, LIFE ALL-IN, LIFE3H, LIFE + A_GreeNet).
The workshop program also includes space for the Life Delphi project, which aims to mitigate interactions between fisheries and dolphins, which coordinator Alessandro Lucchetti of Irbim-CNR in Ancona will discuss.
